Privacy Policy
Valerantio B.V. (hereinafter: “Valerantio”, “we”) attaches great importance to the protection of your personal data. This privacy policy explains which data we collect when you visit valerantio.com or sign up for our weekly Eco-newsletter, and how we handle that data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Data controller
Valerantio B.V., located at Stationsplein 45, 1012 AB Amsterdam, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 92847163, is the data controller within the meaning of the GDPR.
2. Which data we collect
When you sign up for the newsletter we collect your first name and email address. In addition we process limited, anonymised usage statistics (such as visited pages and language preference) to improve the website. We do not collect IP addresses for commercial purposes and we do not use advertising networks.
3. Purpose of the processing
Your data is used solely to send you the weekly Eco-newsletter, to improve the content of valerantio.com and to comply with legal obligations. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Retention period
We keep your subscription data for as long as you remain a subscriber. You can unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every newsletter; your data is then removed within thirty days, except where statutory retention obligations apply.
5. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, as well as the right to object to processing. Requests can be addressed to redactie@valerantio.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
6. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS 1.3), access control and periodic audits. In the unlikely event of a data breach, we will inform you and the Dutch Data Protection Authority within the statutory 72-hour period.
7. Changes
This privacy policy may be amended to reflect changes in legislation or in our practices. The most recent version is always available on this page.
